Planning Division

The Planning Department delivers the core services of strategic and policy planning, development review, official plan and zoning by-law administration, heritage planning and the town's Committee of Adjustment. In particular, the department is responsible for advising Council regarding proposed changes to the town's principal land use planning documents - the Official Plan which incorporates the general goals, objectives and policies governing land use within the Town; and the Comprehensive Zoning By-Law which set out specific requirements for building use, location and size, as well as parking and landscaping.
