The space for this parkland was generously donated to the Town in 2009 by Phyllis Henderson on behalf of herself and her late husband, farmer Cyril Henderson. Living on a farm most of her life, Mrs. Henderson says she wants the 97 acres of land to provide for ‘mini vacations’ for people with busy lifestyles by means of paths, parks and trees, rather than it being developed.
