Please report any dog, cat or wild life biting incident to the Enforcement Division (905) 775-5366 during office hours.   For your convenience, we enclose a copy of a Animal Bite Report to assist you in knowing what information you will be asked.  An enforcement officer will make arrangements to meet with you to discuss and assist you in completing this report.  However, it is suggested that you write down detailed information regarding the incident while it is fresh in your mind.

In the event of a serious attack or an incident after hours, contact South Simcoe Police directly at (905) 775-3311.  Please obtain the name of the officer who attends on site and the occurrence number of the report so that municipal staff can follow-up to obtain the necessary paper work.

If a victim's skin is broken Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit must also be contacted at (705) 721-7520 or 1-877-721-7520 for their action relating to obtaining rabies vaccination information and possible quarantine of the animal.
