Property Standards (2006 - 2010)

The Building Code Act, Revised Statutes of Ontario 1992, Chapter 23, as amended, authorizes municipal council to  pass a by-law for the establishment of a Property Standards Committee.

A Property Standards Committee consisting of at least three citizens appointed by the local Council, must be established to hear appeals lodged against Orders issued by the Officer.  A secreatry usually  recruited from the municipal clerical staff, is appointed as Secretary to the Committee.

The Committee was appointed by By-Law # 2006-113, adopted 19th of December 2006. Appointees are: Lillian Edwards, Stephen Fick, Mario Vittiglio, Vince Redgate and Raj Sandhu.
