BWG’s WINTERFEST

The BWG Winterfest Committee spreads the spirit of Bradford West Gwillimbury Winterfest throughout our city. Friends and neighbours come out of hibernation to celebrate winter and share in a variety of activities in their own communities. In 2009 we had demos, NHL Alumni Game, Lumberjack Show, horse drawn wagon rides, fundraisers, pond hockey tournament, curling, skating parties, carnivals, crafts and games, prizes and hot chocolate to warm chilly festival-goers.

We also had a Pond Hockey Tournament that took place at the Bond Head Park outdoor rinks, from 10 am – 3pm. There was two divisions: Pre-Tyke, and tyke. In the Pre- Tyke, with 6 players and 1 goalie. In the Tyke division, we had 14 players & 1 goalie. Each game will be 3 on 3; this is a free, fun tournament, with everyone winning prizes.
